2012 NASHVILLE STORM OPEN TRYOUTS

The Nashville Storm will be conducting 2 open tryouts for the 2012 Nashville Storm Team in February of 2012 .

THE TIME, DATE AND LOCATION OF THE 2 OPEN TRYOUTS FOR THE 2012 NASHVILLE STORM TEAM WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN MID-JANUARY OF 2012, ROUGHLY A MONTH BEFORE THE FIRST TRYOUT. THIS INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE HERE AT THAT TIME AS WELL AS ON THE NASHVILLE STORM'S SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES SUCH AS FACEBOOK.

ALL NASHVILLE STORM PLAYER-APPLICANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE EITHER AT THE TIME OF THE TRYOUT OR PRIOR TO THE NASHVILLE STORM'S FIRST SCHEDULED 2012 FOOTBALL GAME (SOMETIME IN APRIL, 2012).

Cost for a new Nashville Storm player-applicant to try out at our open tryouts is $45.00, payable in cash on the day of the tryout. Each tryout will be approximately 3 hours in length, with the first hour of each tryout dedicated to the filling out of registration forms and the collection of tryout fees. ALL PLAYER-APPLICANTS MUST PAY THE TRYOUT FEE BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO TRY OUT; NO EXCEPTIONS.

Nashville Storm Open Tryouts are held for the purpose of beginning evaluation of players who want to play for the Nashville Storm, NOT for the purpose of serving as a fundraiser for the team. Every individual who tries out for the Nashville Storm at our Open Tryouts will receive 5 free adult Tickets to 2012 Nashville Storm Home Games and a free Nashville Storm National Championship T-Shirt.

All players who participate in the Nashville Storm's Open Tryouts are invited to preseason camp/practice. It is our policy to never cut a player-applicant without actually evaluating his abilities in live, full-contact scrimmaging. So every player who tries out for the Nashville Storm will get a full opportunity to show what they can do in helmet and pads in game-style conditions.

All tryouts will include timing in the 40-yard dash, L-drill, standing broad jump and short shuttle. Player-applicants should wear shorts or workout clothes and running shoes and football cleats; wearing of football pads or helmets will not be necessary.

Anyone with questions about the process of trying out for the Nashville Storm can contact Nashville Storm President Bill Caldwell (615-804-2117 or pking34@comcast.net  ) or Nashville Storm Head Coach Charles Hunter (615-589-4920 or charles.hunter@state.tn.us  ).
